Crow - Raven - 1934 Color Plate
This antique color plate features a striking image of four woodland birds. The print comes from the book Bird Portraits In Color, Two Hundred Ninety-Five North American Species by Thomas S. Roberts, M.D. The book was copyrighted by The University of Minnesota in 1934 and printed and lithographed by The McGill Lithograph Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The book was published by The University of Minnesota Press. This color plate was illustrated by Walter Alois Weber in 1930.
This vintage print is Plate 55 showing four birds in their natural habitat. The birds represented are the American Magpie, the Crow, the Raven, and the Clark’s Nutcracker. The birds are illustrated at about ¼ their actual size. The print is professionally matted in an 11” x 14” black colored matte to setoff the beauty of the birds. Our vintage prints are shipped in a plastic sleeve between cardboard stiffeners to arrive in perfect condition.
Keep in mind, an antique print will never be “perfect” like a new print and there are sometimes tiny occasional spots and/or discoloring or aging. However, we only sell mint or almost mint prints and will not sell anything that we would not be proud to hang on our own walls!!!
WE GUARANTEE ALL PRINTS TO BE AUTHENTIC AND AS DESCRIBED!
