The book was originally copyrighted by Mr. Mathews in 1902. This revised edition was copyrighted in 1927. It is the Twenty-ninth printing by G. P. Putnam’s Sons of New York and London, printed in 1929 by The Knickerbocker Press. The color plates are by the author.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis delicately colored illustration features a cluster of Day Lilies in full bloom and ready to bloom. This lily was originally a native of Europe and Asia and escaped from gardens to our country. The technical name, Hemerocallis Fulva, comes from the Greek and means beautiful for only a day. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe print is professionally matted in an 8” x 10” reddish\/brick colored matte to highlight the beauty of the flowers.
