Jonesport Fish Flakes Maine Label
Historic Overview
Our Jonesport Fish Flakes label is a great piece of memorabilia as a well as a nice decorator item framed for your kitchen or office. The label features an image of a cod floating above the ocean on one side, and a lighthouse on a rock outcropping with the water splashing against it and a sailing ship in the background, on the other side. Simpson-Doeller of Baltimore, Maryland printed the label for R.B. & C.G. Stevens Company of Jonesport, Maine, who was the packer. It measures 9-3/4" Wide x 4-1/8" High and since it is early offset printing, probably dates to the late 1920s.
The R.B. & C.G. Stevens Company was started in 1928 and closed down in 1973. This vintage Maine label comes from leftover warehouse stock that was stored in a dry area allowing the labels to retain their vivid colors and mint condition.
WE GUARANTEE OUR LABELS TO BE AUTHENTIC AND AS DESCRIBED!
