Red Carpet Peach Crate Label
Historic Overview
What a great whimsical label from Idaho in mint unused condition. This 10.25” Wide x 4” High crate label features a genie with a peach head, sporting a turbine on a red carpet. The fruit was grown and packed by Sanders Fruit Ranch in Emmett, Idaho, and dates from the 1960s.John Sanders who was born in 1853 and farmed in Iowa, made the move to Idaho in 1909 and settled on a forty-acre farm with his wife, Grace. They had 10 children and John worked the property vigorously until his death in 1914. Some of his children continued to work the ranch, located just 2 miles outside of Emmett, after his death. I think it just makes the label that much more special.
