Tavilla Florida Sweet Corn Crate label

SKU: CRL1077
$1.80 USD

Historic Overview

This unique label covers both sides of the country. The sweet corn was grown and shipped from Florida and distributed by Tavilla Sales Company of Los Angeles and South San Francisco, California. The label measures 6” Wide x 4” High and is in mint condition from the 1980s. It sports the familiar green, white, and red colors of the Italian flag.

Tavilla Sales Company was formed in 1980 by Bill Vogel and Tavilla Sales of South San Francisco. The company brokered fruits and vegetables into the Southwestern United States. Off-season vegetables, tropical and specialty produce items were the focus. Their relationship with Texas and Florida growers formed the backbone of the company. They later expanded to Mexico and Holland and Vogel acquired most of the company stock near the end of the 1990s. The company is still in business today and now grows their own produce.
