My Treat Washington Fruit Crate label

SKU: CRL1110
$2.75 USD

Historic Overview

This seldom seen crate label measures 10” Wide x 2.75” High and dates to the 1940s. It features an image of cherries, apricot, apple, and pear that are ready to eat. The label is in mint condition and features the slogan, “Your Tasty Treat to Health”. The shipper was George F. Joseph Orchard Siding, Inc. of Yakima Washington.

George F. Joseph is a post harvest company that handles the fruit after it has been picked. They had another label that achieved a level of notoriety, Don’t Worry, which featured the image of a young boy eating an apple. The slogan was, “When Buying – Don’t Worry”, indicating the quality of the product. This label has the Don’t Worry in a circle on the left of the label. A testament that this fruit is just as good as the well know brand.
