Gold Rim Texas Vegetables Label

This "Gold Rim" Brand Original Texas Vegetable Crate Label measures 7” Wide x 5” High. It was packed by the Gulf Distributing Co., Inc., of Weslaco, Texas and is in mint condition from the 1940s – 1950s. The label shows a scenic of the Texas Gulf Coast with a beach and sailboats like you would expect to see on a postcard. It was lithographed by Shmidt Litho of San Francisco, California.

Vintage crate labels are often found in mint condition, having been produced in larger quantities than were needed and stored unused in warehouses.  They make some of the most affordable art objects available to the general public. Often collectors like to mat and frame labels for display.
