This great Pear label sports a poker hand of four aces, usually recognized as the “Highest Hand” in a poker game. Clearly to indicate the fruit is of the highest quality. In reality, the highest hand in a poker match is the Royal Straight Flush, but who cares, this is a great label. The pears were grown, packed, and shipped by The Loomis Fruit Growers Association, who hand graded the mountain fruit. The label measures 10.5“ Wide x 7.25“ High and was lithographed by Louis Roesch Litho of San Francisco, California. Since it has a zip code on the address it is probably from the 1950s.
