Tote Sportsman's Tonic Label

This 4" Wide rare vintage unused label is circa 1930s. It is in great condition and has a beautiful stone litho horse racing image. The label identifies the tonic as "The Sportsman's Choice" and shows your horse coming in first with the tag line, "The Favorite Wins."

"TOTE" is the nickname of the pari-mutuel machine that totals the bets at a Racetrack. It's interesting that a label without square corners tends to last longer on a glass bottle. So the artist designed the label inside of a rounded horseshoe, solving the problem and keeping with the racing theme. Very colorful and not an often seen label.
