  1. Vintage Wiegardt Salmon Eggs Labels

    SKU: VLC1007
    $4.25 USD

    Historic Overview

These original unused Salmon Egg labels date back to the 1920s. They are embossed, gold edge gilded, and frankly just beautiful. There are a total of four (4) labels in the collection, each measuring 2.5” Wide x 2” High. They represent the four brands of Swiftwater, Redskin, Paleface, and Wiegardt’s Salmon Eggs Cluster. They were packed by Wiegart Brothers of Ocean Park, Washington.

The Wiegardt family is noted for oystering on Willapa Bay in Nahcotta, Washington since the beginning of the 20th Century. What is not as well known is that they harvested and packed Salmon Eggs and Razor Clams in the 1920s and 1930s.
