Ruby Florida Citrus Crate Label

This Florida Crate label is from the 1950s and measures 9" Wide x 3.4" High. It features a pinup girl of the era with the classic pearl necklace and is a good representation of the styles of the 1950s. The fruit was packed and shipped by the Lake Region Packing Association of Tavares, Florida. The label was lithographed by Louis Roesch Co. of San Francisco, California.

The Lake Region Packing Association was formed in 1909, and is Florida’s oldest citrus cooperative. In 2004 it joined as the newest member of Dundee Citrus Growers Association. This consolidation created an organization positioned to better serve the growers, marketers and consumers through increased efficiency while still providing access to quality citrus fruit.
